I’m a film student, I can’t help but watch a lot of films. I’d say right about now 40% of my life consists of movies, watching them and reviewing them and when it comes down to it, i hold some pretty bold opinions toward the film industry and what they release. The thing i love most though, are trailers; bite size and moorish, like grapes, yet less green.
So here’s a Top 5 of trailers I’ve found recently, brought to you by the immaculate people over at Apple Movie Trailers

5. reprise - released May 16th.
I’m not really a huge fan of foreign language films but this looks brilliant. I’m not to sure what it’s all about, but the trailer is just captivating, which is more the reason why i picked this one out. So make sure you watch it!
4. American Teen - released July 25th
Reminds me a lot of those generic MTV shows such as My Super Sweet 16 and MADE, which i love. American Teen follows the lives of your typical high school characters; The Jock, The Geek, The Princess etc through their last year at high school. A cool little documentary. I also love the Breakfast Club inspired poster.
3.Baghead - released June 13th
My wacky pick of the bunch. A combination of documentary and experimental film with a comedy/horror narrative. I would personally see this as being far too much context for a film, but this film seems to have it in the bag. I don’t really know whats going on here, but i want to know more.
2. AdULTHOOD - released June 20th
The sequel to Kidulthood. Looks a lot darker and more “street” if you will, then before. Not to sure about the huge cast this time around although I’m excited for Plan B’s role in this one.
1. Smart People - released April 11th
Reasons for seeing this = Ellen Page. But seriously, I’m apprehensive as fuck about seeing this movie. I have no confidence in the dismal Sex In The City star SJP whatsoever, but she seems to do substantially well in the trailer for what its worth. If this turns out to be anything like Juno, I will probably end up seeing it more then once.

Saw American Teen at the Nashville Film Festival and loved it.
