To celebrate the release of their forthcoming debut album (The 405 review of which will be up shortly!) Call Me Dragon (on Brew Records / Function Records), the ever-wonderous folks at A Badge Of Friendship decided to throw a little party at The Lexington on Friday February 19th 2010. The Leeds lads will also be joined by Function Records’ Shield Your Eyes and Munroe Effect

We're seriously happy to be putting our name to this show purely because of the calibre of the bands playing and the great people involved with putting on the show. These Monsters, whose myspace you really should have checked out by now, make a pretty heady hard hitting post-rock racket (with saxophone!) and drop riffs the likes of which instrumental legends Don Cabellero would be proud. Shield Your eyes are a little scattier, more caustic, more manic, and all the better for it, whilst The Munroe Effect straddle a fine line between metal core and nu-skool screamo.

Obviously this is a pretty awesome proposition to begin with, but add Pulled Apart By Horses on the decks, spinnin' some beats and choons, a nice new refurbished venue, the fact us lot will be there and all the assorted merch and you have yourself quite a show.
