Bilal collaborates with Madlib and covers Stevie Wonder on new mixtape
While Bilal was the exciting young thing of Neo-Soul as far back as 2001, he's had a rough time of it over the past couple of years. His second album was killed by his label Interscope and a internet leak in 2006 has left him doing features ever since. However with a new album due on Valentines Day in 2013 he seems to be back in the limelight where he belongs.
As part of the build up to this return Bilal has just dropped a new mixtape, The Retrospection. The collection includes a selection of old material, as well as a wealth of new and unheard material. The cover of Stevie Wonder's 'Too High' is a definite highlight, and can be downloaded at his facebook page here. His cover of 'Too High' can be found below. [via Fact]
