Busta Rhymes to give away new record
Busta Rhymes drop's his latest album, Year Of The Dragon in two weeks and the veteran rapper will be giving for free. New York MC will be releasing the record exclusively via the Google Play service and collaborators will include Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Trey Songz and Anthony Hamilton plus many more.
Despite signing to Lil Wayne’s label Young Money last year the release is independent and unassociated to YMCMB. "The Year of the Dragon album, just so everybody knows, is not my Cash Money debut, my YMCMB debut. This is my Google album and this is going to be given to everybody for free. And the reason why we decided to give it to everybody for free is because number one, Google Play is where the album is going to be available. So when it drops, we drop it in the second week of August, you’re going to get a date in the next couple of days, it's important that you go there to get it because that’s the only place where it’s going to be for free."
There is a catch for UK fans however, Google Play don’t yet offer music to these shores so we’ll just have to hang tight and hope for a wider release outside of the US.
