Cat Power to cancel European tour?
European fans of Cat Power may have to wait a little longer to see the singer songwriter in the flesh; the muscician has hinted she may be forced to cancel her tour this side of the Atlantic due to bankruptcy and a "health struggle with angiodema" which is a dermatological condition causing rapid swelling of the skin.
Taking to her Instagram Account, Power said "I have not thrown in any towel, I am trying to figure out what best I can do." The songstress, real name Chan Marshall went on to say, "Heart broken. Worked so hard. Got sick day after 'Sun' came out and been struggling to keep all points of me in equilibrium: mind, spirit, body healthy, centered and grounded. I am doing the best I can. I fucking love this planet. I refuse to give up. Though I may need to restrategise for my security and health."
There is only one UK date as part of the current tour plans, the Roundhouse on December 12th but fans may need wish for a Christmas miracle to see their hero this year after this news.
