Freddie Dickson - 'Shut Us Down' (405 Premiere)
Freddie Dickson might be an average sounding name but he has crafted a sound that is anything but. 'Shut Us Down' is the fantastic first glimpse of the 24-year-old's project and might just earn him the title of 'the male Lana Del Ray'. Set against a world of slick, sultry and synthetic instrumentation sits Dickson's mesmerising voice which is as smooth as Lana's lips without the artificialness. 'Shut Us Down' is a truly remarkable debut, smothered lovingly with reverb, lush harmonies and, above all else, raw emotion.
It's early days for Londoner Freddie Dickson but if his music continues in the vein of 'Shut Us Down', there's no reason why his trajectory shouldn't match that of Lana.
