Guards - 'Coming True' [Listen]
New York indie pop band Guards have released their second single off upcoming debut record In Guards We Trust, which is out next February. 'Coming True' showcases vocalist Richie Follin's infectious vocals, which lead to a monster of a hook. The song is a simply constructed but addicting little tune.

Coinciding with the release of their debut album, In Guards We Trust, we caught up with Guards to find out what albums have served as major influences to them. The New York trio handpicked an array of releases from classic artists including David Bowie, Lee Hazelwood & Nancy Sinatra, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cars and Jackie Wilson. All of these have had an impact on their music, whether it be in the raw quality of the guitars, hand claps or tongue-in-cheek lyrics. [read more]
