In the wake of the rejoice of the late, great Detroit producer J Dilla, hip-hop instrumentalist Karriem Riggins has debuted a brand new version of track ‘Matador', called 'Matador Posse Cut'.
The time around, the Stones Throw Records alum enlists the help of rappers Krondon, Homeboy Sandman, Guilty Simpson, J Rocc, and Jonwayne for the track. Listen closely and you’ll hear the original allusion to the aforementioned J Dilla at the end of the track.

Stones Throw are being very secretive about Jonwayne. Taken from his strictly cassette release, Cassette 2, the label are finally lifting the lid and ripping another of the favourite tracks from the release, 'Cool Runnings' feat. Zeroh. Proving the artist needs no introduction and no frills, the song opens with a solo piano melody, with Jonwayne spitting the kind of lyrics that got him noticed in the first place. [read more]
