Listen Dan Deacon's remix of 'Blue Elvis' by Peals [405 Premiere]
Peals are a US duo that makes low-fi instrumental, beach-bum lullabies in a similar vein to Real Estate, which is a marked escape from their more upbeat projects; William Cashion is from Future Islands and Bruce Willen from Double Dagger. Fellow Baltimore native, Dan Deacon, has remixed 'Blue Elvis' from upcoming album Walking Field.
Deacon's reinvention accelerates the meditative guitar jangle and adds layers of subtle, glitchy electronics, transforming what was an unwinding, pre-siesta midday beer into a start of the night shot of mescal.
Walking Field is out on 13th May 2013 on Thrill Jockey.
