Lost J Dilla record collection found?
It seems record store owner Jeff Bubeck, who runs UHF in Royal Oak, is the luckiest man on earth right now. In a find most record lovers, J heads and record store owners can only dream of, it seems Bubeck has stumbled across J Dilla's personal collection of records.
Bubeck found 7'000-8'000 records in an abandoned storage unit in Clinton Township last month, with all the signs (cassette tapes labelled Jaydee Beats, lyrics books and junk mail addressed to James Yancey, and to his parents Beverly and Maureen Yancey) indicating that this was J Dilla's long lost collection.
Bubeck is currently selling the records in his store, with many Dilla fans fighting to get their hands on a piece of history.
