Michael Stipe speaks out regarding banned Perfume Genius video
R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe has spoken out over yesterdays news regarding Googles rejection of the Perfume Genius advert.
The 16 second video was rejected for use on any of Googles sites as it was deemed as "promoting mature sexual themes" and Stipe was quick to criticise the decision...
"For [Google owned] YouTube to deem this advertisement as ‘non family safe’ is dumbheaded discrimination, I find their actions in doing so disgraceful and cowardly. YouTube, shame on you. You were born of the 21st Century, now act like it."
