Music from Pavement's first live performance surfaces
Whereas these days Steven Malkmus is making a name for himself within his new outfit, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, you may also recall he was in a band by the name of Pavement, forming towards the rear end of the 80s. Some of their earliest recordings, 'Home', and, 'Mellow Jazz Docent', were recorded for a Californian radio station, KDVS, and seem to be gaining attention online, having been originally uploaded almost a year ago.

ATP Concerts have announced a London headline show from the legendary Pavement at Brixton Academy on Tuesday 11th May 2010. The band are reuniting for dates around the world in 2010 including curating and performing the recently announced and now sold out ATP Festival Weekend 2 on May 14th â 16th. This fully re-mastered 23-track compilation will be available on double LP, CD and digital album formats. The tracks span the entirety of Pavement's career from 1989 to 1999.
