New York City Ballet to premiere work with music by Sufjan Stevens
New York-based dancer and choreographer Justin Peck will debut a new ballet entitled 'Year of The Rabbit' on October 5th, which will be set to 30 minutes of music from Sufjan Stevens. The ballet, which takes place at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater, will feature eighteen dancers, with music being performed live from the house orchestra. Stevens will make newly recorded orchestral compositions from the 2009 LP Run Rabbit Run, which itself was a reworking of the 2001 Sufjan record, Enjoy Your Rabbit.
The schedule for 'Year of the Rabbit' can be seen here.
