Shelf Nunny - 'I Feel So Good About Myself' [Track of the Day]
Shelf Nunny has unveiled 'I Feel So Good About Myself', the first track to be taken from his forthcoming EP, Dream Album. The Santa Cruz producer may have chosen a very optimistic title, but the half arrogance, half hard-sought self-belief is applauded because Shelf Nunny should be feeling good - this is a wonderful track.
The samples have a natural aura about them, with the tickling strings, muffled vocal and industrial-sounding rain shaker ripping through the cascading beat. A scowling synth heightens towards the end, keeping with the earthly theme as it bares some resemblance to a suspicious meow. 'I Feel So Good About Myself' gives a rush of prospective excitement for Shelf Nunny's new EP.
