Track Of The Day: Lana Del Rey – 'Video Games' (Jamie Woon remix)
When Soundcloud went down yesterday, traffic was to blame. That's fair enough, but we have another theory, Jamie Woon was uploading his remix of 'Video Games' by Lana Del Rey. Their systems just couldn't cope with that amount of combined hype.
Regardless of how you feel about either artist, this is a great remix. Woon has injected a serious amount of life into a song that, lets face it, starts strong but soon gets tiresome.

Ghostpoet has pulled some of the lyrics from 'Deep Water Heartbreaker' by FOE and applied them directly to his remix of the song. The running theme of 'Water' and 'Drowning' is used to full effect, with the track sounding like it's buried beneath an ocean, a few whales, a coral reef and the all weird sea creatures we're yet to discover. Yeasayer have pushed and pulled the hell out of 'Shiny Things' by Fanfarlo, and the resulting track is incredible. It's less of a remix, and more of a complete overhaul. [read more]
