Willy Mason announces new album, 'Carry On'

by The 405 News Team, 21 September 2012

Following a busy summer of festival shows, Willy Mason has announced details of his third album.

The new album, Carry On, will be released on December 3rd via Fiction Records (his first for the label) and was produced by Dan Carey (MIA, Hot Chip).

"I think of this record as the third and final chapter to a particular narrative that started with Where the Humans Eat," says Mason. "It's a narrative that’s loosely based on me, on my character through performance, and I think that by completing this album, I'm sort of closing the door on that and opening up a whole new world of possibilities."

Check out his forthcoming tour dates, and a video of him performing 'Restless Fugitive', below.

  • 1 Dec King Tuts, Glasgow UK
  • 2 Dec Ruby Lounge, Manchester UK
  • 3 Dec Glee Club, Birmingham UK
  • 5 Dec Scala, London UK
  • 6 Dec Thekla, Bristol UK

Wood Festival is the smaller, greener and quieter sister-festival to the exemplary Truck and carries its admiral ethic and knack for providing a straight-up lovely time along with it. With an emphasis on folk-music, punters certainly shouldn’t expect any late-night raves but they can expect a feast of excellent music and a wonderful, family-friendly atmosphere.
