Exposure: William Arcane

German composer Richard Strauss famously proclaimed: "The human voice is the most beautiful instrument of all" and with his vocal-driven electronica, London-based William Arcane seems to have taken this to heart. Delicate murmurs and wisped blips act as the perfect backdrop for Arcane’s haunting and often mutilated lyrics, whilst the sprinkle of intricate and intelligent beats means his tracks are all but gaunt. His debut Permanence EP was released earlier this week through Pictures Music and has already gained acclaim from the likes of the Sunday Times and Pitchfork.
