Joanna Newsom and Phillip Glass to collaborate

by Christian K. Breedlove (Google+), 16 May 2012

In very unexpected news, the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco will hold a night of performances by Phillip Glass, Joanna Newsom and Tim Fain in what is being called 'An Evening with Phillip Glass & Joanna Newsom w/Tim Fain'.

The trio will perform on June 25th as part of the Days and Nights Festival, with proceeds going to the Henry Miller Memorial Library in Big Sur, California.

    Thom Yorke at Latitude?

The good people at Latitude Festival have done it again. Last year they managed to nab a special (understatment) performance from Joanna Newsom and this year they've gone one better by getting Thom Yorke to play a solo set. I was in two minds about whether or not to go this year but Thom Yorke is worth the admission price alone! Get your tickets at http://www.latitudefestival.co.uk [read more]
