Listen to CocoRosie's new track, 'After The Afterlife'
The endlessly perplexing and curiously weird sister duo CocoRosie have been busy in recent months, staging operas, performing choreography, and even gathering work on a new version of Peter Pan. Not stopping there, the Bianca and Sierra Cassidy have yet another new album on the way this May.
Tales Of A Grasswidow will be the duo's fifth studio album since the striking and adventurous La maison de mon rêve via City Slag Records. Featured on the upcoming album will be 'After The Afterlife', which combines lofty pianos, jittery vocal loops, composite beats, and Bjórk-like sensibilities. In other words, pure CocoRosie.
Check out the new track below and grab Tales Of A Grasswidow May 27th.

Welcome to part two of our mammoth Primavera Sound 2010 review. Yesterday 405 writer Laura Lotti took us into her world and spoke about day one, which included lots of alcohol and bands such as Pavement. Day two is much the same, minus Stephen Malkmus. Alright, today I feel in a proper festival soldier mood. After having shamelessly missed The Fall last night, no more mistakes. Strategy. And everyone for themselves: first rule of the festival goerâs handbook. The tube ... (continued) [read more]
Welcome to the very first 405 podcast... This is a pilot episode in what we hope to be a weekly or fortnightly happening so have a listen and see what you think. Email us your thoughts and queries on the show, however sinister they may be, and questions for the second instalment. We would love to hear from you. We are aware of the complete un-professionalism enclosed within this podcast but hope you find it both endearing and maybe even slightly comical. But most of all w... (continued) [read more]
