Matthew Herbert returns to Wishmountain
Returning to his old moniker, Wishmountain, DJ Matthew Herbert is set to release new album Tesco on 6th August. The record is made purely from sounds recorded from the ten best selling items in Tesco supermarkets, as of a 2012 survey... Track titles such as 'Dairy Milk' and 'Andrex' provide handy hints as to which items the tracks may, possibly be based on.
Alongside this, there will be a digital reissue of his album Wishmountain Is Dead, along with a limited-run 12" vinyl of his minimal-techno classic 'Radio', plus 'Video', which was not on the original recording. There will also be 12" releases of new tracks 'Dairy Milk' and 'Nescafe' (released on July 16th).
Matthew Herbert will be releasing his new EP Part 6 under just his last name, marking his first release under that moniker in eight years. You can listen to its first cut 'One Two Three' now. [read more]
