New additions announced for BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend
The flood of festival news continues this week, but this time it's new acts for BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend which happens in London on the weekend of June 23rd and 24th.
After the surge of American acts added to the bill led by the headline announcement of Jay-Z, Radio 1 have kept it closer to home by filling up the ranks with Welsh rockers Lostprophets, rapper Example and singer/song writer Ben Howard. These three are also freshly joined by Enter Shikari, Lethal Bizzle, Sway, Gyptian and Delilah. From the rest of the world, the British acts are joined by rapper B.o.B, young French artist Madeon and Santigold (pictured above).
Expect more acts to be announced over the next couple of weeks, as they are still yet to announce a headline act for the second day. Applying for the festival can be found on the Radio 1 website.
