Rachel Zeffira - 'The Deserters' [Listen]
London-via-Canada singer-songwriter Rachel Zeffira recently premiered the lead track to her classical pop debut, The Deserters.
The title track features Zeffira’s opera-trained vocal renditions through somber, echoing pop that fans of her previous project Cat’s Eyes may be familiar with. There’s a dreamy aura here that sounds bigger than most, almost like it belongs in the end credits of an Oscar-worthy movie.

Ahead of the early 2014 follow up to Skying, Horrors frontman Faris Badwan will be returning to his Cat's Eyes side project and collaborating on a film score. The duo, which includes soprano, composer and multi-instrumentalist Rachel Zeffira, are teaming up with Broadcast's James Cargill and director Peter Strickland on the soundtrack for in-development project The Duke of Burgundy.
