The Postal Service – Reunion?
January 8th is a big day for music. Of course, David Bowie's curveball comeback will take the top spot, but we've had other headlines too – not least that Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello's electro side-project The Postal Service might be making their eagerly awaited, but hardly expected reunion at this year's Coachella festival. Alongside The Rolling Stones, Daft Punk and any other artists they can conjure up to troll us with.
Not to burst anyone's bubble too quickly, but it may not be a certainty at the moment, given that Gibbard as recently as October told Spinner: "There are no plans to make a second record… I can't say that enough." Niche blog Brooklyn Vegan broke the news of a reformation earlier today with a shady, uninformative post; while it may not be the most solid proof, it's not the most ridiculous thing to be hearing considering The Thin White Duke's surprise return to the spotlight. Like all reunion rumours, we wait with baited breath and on our knees, begging that we'll again catch a glimpse of our favourite acts from days gone by.
