The Replacements - 'I'm Not Sayin' (Gordon Lightfoot Cover) [Listen]
On March 5th, the benefit EP Songs for Slim will be released in support of former Replacements guitarist Slim Dunlap recovery from a stroke, which happened in February of last year.
Now, The Replacements have brought the old gang together to contribute a track to the EP, a cover of Gordon Lightfoot's 'I'm Not Sayin'. Many other artists will be on the EP as well, including The Decemberists, Frank Black and more. 250 autographed 10'' vinyl copies were pressed and raised over $100,000 in funds to help Dunlap. Great stuff, isn't it?
The Songs For Slim EP will be released digitally on March 5th and also on 12'' vinyl on April 16th through New West Records. You can hear 'I'm Not Sayin' by heading here.
