The Strokes unveil new song, 'One Way Trigger'
When a popular band returns after an extended period of time, you have to approach their 'comeback' material in the same way you'd approach a new band. Basically, you give the track(s) a listen and ask yourself, "if this band was new, would I care?"
With that in mind, welcome to the new song from The Strokes.
Last night (June 9th), The Strokes made their come back after four years at Camden's Dingwall's, and with a capacity of less than 500, it was undoubtedly a monumental event. Posting the name 'Venison' on their Twitter feed, they cryptically announced the secret gig. The Strokes are set to give away their brand new track âUnder Cover Of Darknessâ as a free download via their website tomorrow Wednesday February 9th at 7.35pm. The track is taken from their fourth album Angles, which is out on March 21st via Rough Trade Records.
