Venue: Electric Ballroom, Camden, London Date: 22/11/10 Link: Les Savy Fav For those of you that are fortunate enough to have seen Les Savy Fav, you'll already know that they're one of the best live experiences you'll get. The rest of you awful human beings that haven't will no doubt be aware of their reputation for providing a raucous, riotous and rambunctious show; the three R's if you will. As such, the old cliché of those silly words and sentences not doing justice apply here as no creature on this planet could possibly be that verbose - so what you're going to get is a photographic documentation into the semi-stalking of charismatic and hugely sweaty front man Tim Harrington. It's fair to say that whilst Harrington's usual erratic and unpredictable antics alongside jovial yet dry banter of course make the night, it's worth remembering that the music of LSF was equally as phenomenal at the Electric Ballroom.

Photographer: Tim Boddy In the same way the 21st century has led to the decoding of the human genome, the cross pollination of musical genres is more abundant than it has ever been. As the cumbersome iron hands on Big Ben strike 8pm, the subterranean hallways of Heaven sets the conditions for an unparalleled demonstration of new electronic music. Entering the club’s low undulating ceiling, the grainy texture of its brick walls are bathed in the neon pink lights projecting from the bar.... [read more]

Venue: Fabric, London Date: 16/09/10 Link: Dan Deacon official Throughout life, you oft hear of certain artists that you simply have to see live, through friends, reviews, hype and general word-of-mouth. However, whilst we take on board such information and remember it, such is the self-centered nature of the human species we tend to feel an ambivalence on such news. ‘Yeah, okay, I’ll try and catch them” we say with an air of half-commitment. As you may well know, purveyor of mus... [read more]
