Mode Moderne has just unveiled a beautiful clip for 'Unburden Yourself', taken from their sophomore album Occult Delight which is out today via Light Organ Records. The album was recorded at Otic Sound in their hometown Vancouver with producer Joshua Stevenson (ex Jackie O Motherfucker, Pink Mountain Tops), and is their first release since the departure of Felix Fung (band member and producer).
The black and white video was directed by Jordan Utley, and is full of wonderful textures - perfectly illustrating the '80s-inspired tune.
"We're a big fan of Jordan Utley's work, he makes fantastic images," says vocalist Phil Intile. "Long winded music-video narratives are played out, we just want strong images, total Jean Cocteau vibes, and we got lucky because it snowed in Salt Lake City AND there was a full moon! Jordan Utley: SLC goth.”
