Corporeality, n. 'The state of having a body or having an existence related to the body, especially as opposed to the spirit'. This series will highlight seven contemporary artists and explore their work through the common theme of the body.

Harriet Lee Merrion's pastel coloured illustrations delicately rest on their cream background. She describes her style as influenced by her "love of botanical engravings, surrealism and Japanese woodblock prints." Their message, however, isn't quite so dreamy. Her personal work frequently explores the difference between appearance and the reality that hides underneath. The Beginning-Middle-End series and several of her personal drawings explore the face as an everyday mask, a means of protection but also of concealment.
