Banksy's Dismaland is moving. It's not doing a tour of the UK, but rather being upcycled from its current "bemusement park" form in Weston-super-Mare to be used over at the refugee camp near Calais.

A statement on the Dismaland website reads:

"Coming soon… Dismaland Calais. All the timber and fixtures from Dismaland are being sent to the ‘jungle’ refugee camp near Calais to build shelters. No online tickets will be available."

The repurposing of Dismaland, an intentionally crap artistic monument to British locales of mass entertainment, and its structures for use as shelter for the few thousand displaced and desperate people living in a state of probably quite bleak uncertainty can only be a good thing. It's estimated to take around three weeks to take it all apart and send it over to Calais.
