With Record Store Days and other initiatives popping up pretty much everywhere, Barnes & Noble, the United States' largest bookstore, has decided to organise its own vinyl event: Vinyl Day.

Taking place on Saturday November 21st, the very first Vinyl Day will see the over 600 Barnes & Noble stores across the States celebrating with selected releases (much like Record Store Day), in-store concerts, album artwork displays, and more: "Barnes & Noble has always been committed to providing the very best in music to our customers and we’re excited to roll out Vinyl Day nationally as a celebration of a very special music format," Barnes and Noble's Vice President of Music and DVD Chuck Gorman explains.

If you live in the United States and want to know more about the events taking place at your nearest store, check Barnes & Noble's website for more info.
