French artist Florent Tanet and collaborator Arthur King have put together an anxiety-inducing photo series called Equilibrium, playing somewhere between safety and danger. By stacking objects that seems as though they could collapse at any time, the series is propelled by a quest for stability using every day objects.

It was inspired by Tom Tit's classic book La Science Amusante. "We tried to reinvent the illustrations of this popular science book at home," Tanet said. "Each image represents a simple scientific phenomenon, like a magical experiment."
