Even though it doesn't technically play any records, commissioned micro-artist Willard Wigan MBE can still be proud of his newest accomplishment - crafting the world's tiniest turntable.

Modeled after a Garrard 301 turntable, the miniature comes with a replica of Hank Mobley's Blue Note LP - one of the most expensive jazz records of all-time, sold on eBay for £7,300. The man in the sculpture is Rudy Van Gelder, the Jersey City legendary record engineer who had a hand in the careers of seminal musicians like Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, and Donald Byrd, among many others.

The finished product needs a magnifying glass or microscope be looked at more closely. Check it out and more of Wigan's work via his website.
