When we are in the studio we like to be able to eat food that doesn't require too much thought or the risk of burning, as we tend to find minds wander!

This raw stir fry was a staple for us during the recording of our new album. It has a real summery freshness that we both enjoy and it's light, healthy and full of flavour! The dish is raw, so has a great crunchy texture, and needs zero cooking!

What You'll Need

  • - 1 courgette
  • - 1/2 cucumber
  • - 1 carrot
  • - Bean sprouts
  • - A clove of garlic
  • - Ginger
  • - Soy Sauce
  • - Sweet chilli sauce
  • - Sesame oil
  • - Mint
  • - Coriander
  • - Prawns (optional)
  • - Peanuts (optional)

The Process

Just spiralise (or grate if you don't have a spiraliser) 1 courgette, 1/2 cucumber, and 1 carrot and mix together in a bowl with a small handful of bean sprouts.

For the sauce, finely grate 1 garlic piece, a thumb size piece of ginger into a small bowl, then add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sweet chilli sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of sesame oil, whisk well and add to salad mix.

Chop a handful of mint and coriander, add to the bowl and mix so the salad is fully covered in the sauce and herbs. Extra ingredients, if you feel like mixing it up, include prawns and crushed peanuts. Enjoy!
