Need more Curb Your Enthusiasm in your life? (We sure do.) Well, there may be another dose coming up in the form of the that elusive ninth season.

The news came from writer, director and producer, Jeff Schaffer – co-creator, alongside his wife Jackie Schaffer, of The League – whilst appearing as a guest on this week's The Rich Eisen Show (watch below).

"Jackie and I had dinner with Larry last Saturday. We broke bread. We chatted. There was no captain, but we were vigilant to avoid the time that the check goes down and then the waiter doesn’t come back for a long time. That’s just dead time. That’s a death spiral. If you don’t have that credit card out when that check goes down, you’ve lost 40 minutes of your life … So we talked about what’s moving forward. And there’re a few things he’s interested in — one being a movie that may go forward and the other being another season of Curb. And they’re not mutually exclusive. It’d be a non-Curb movie and/or another Curb season … It’s definitely an option."

Larry David himself has not been wholly against the idea of another Curb season, saying earlier this year: "I'm not ruling it out. I mean, it’s been a while. I don’t want to go back to the show and look 10 years older than I did in the last episode."

Last week we found this weird Twitter account @larry_senpai that casts Larry David as the heartthrob in a dating sim.
