How would you describe yourself in five words?

Solo, obsessive, weird, adventurous, and active.

What's the most challenging piece you've ever created?

Probably the entire time when I first started shooting people and was discovering the relationship between photographer and subject; how your ability to get people to drop their guard influences the outcome if the image.

If you were in a band, what kind of music would you play?

Jazzy grooves.

When was the last time you tried something new?

Tried some weird-ass tapioca filled bun the other day; wasn't keen.

If a movie was made about your life, what actor/actress would play you and what would the film be called?

Not mad into actors. I'd just get Alejandro Jodorowsky to direct and let the cryptic visuals unfold.

Compliments I genuinely can't think of, but two most frequent comments I've heard over the years are "So where are you now?!?" and "I can't figure you out".

What inspires you?

Meeting other people as nerdy as I am.

What is a movie moment that completely transformed you?

Seeing sultry Michelle Reis prowling the backstreets of Hong Kong in Wong Kar Wei's Fallen Angels.

What do you consider to be the highlight of your life?

I'm always high on life; I'm obsessed with what I'm doing, it's ongoing.

What makes you smile?

The intro to Grover Washington's 'Mister Magic'. Wandering alone in Soho and getting sushi from a tiny hole in the wall diner late at night. Completing stressy projects and feeling like I've been dispossessed of an evil spirit.

Lastly, what are you currently working on?

Adding to my record collection; it's like starting a family. You need a very stable income and home to provide, but I'm making it work.
