How would you describe yourself in 5 words?

This is such a challenge: dedicated, loyal, sensitive, lone wolf and adventurous.

What's the most challenging piece you've ever created?

Probably a picture of Landmannalaugar in Iceland. Where I had to trek with all the equipment on some dangerous passages on snowy slopes.

If you were in a band, what kind of music would you play?

Stoner rock but with less distortions and a xylophone.

When was the last time you tried something new?

Photography-wise, it was last November when I went to Andalusia to experiment some new ideas.

What's the most provocative piece you've ever created?

Possibly some abstract stuff I’m working on at the moment, even though I’m not necessarily seeking any provocation in image making.

If a movie was made about your life, what actor/actress would play you and what would the film be called?

Well at our age we haven’t lived that much to have a complete picture of what it has been, but let’s try: the actor would be Ugo Tognazzi, I can’t choose any international name because can’t think of anyone else that would fit better. Title: Beyond This.

What inspires you?

Pureness and simplicity, and everything that links to the transcendent.

What is your most valuable skill?

Probably sensitivity.

What's the best piece you've ever created?

From my last trip in the States I pulled out some images I really enjoy. Maybe one of them.

Any advice for new artists?

Maybe trying to have an insight as complete as possible of one’s self. Apart from this, I wouldn’t consider myself capable of giving advice on a process which is so personal and different for each person.

What is a movie moment that completely transformed you?

I cannot recall a moment as such, but if you see Lars Von Trier movies you might see how deep in your heart he’s able to convey emotions.

What do you consider to be the highlight of your life?

Any beginning of one of my solo trips somewhere. The emotion of being about to arrive there is pure adrenaline.

Lastly, what are you currently working on?

On organising my next trip, between Canaries Islands and Morocco.
