How would you describe yourself in 5 words?

Eating good, creating, enjoying life.

What's the most challenging piece you've ever created?

I recently did a set of illustrations for 3 vignettes by Laura Stortenbeker. I had to convey her short, powerful stories through these illustrations. It took a lot of sketching on pen and paper to get all of my ideas out, and it was important to me that they all had a similar feel. Definitely one of the most time-consuming projects that I've worked on but I'm so happy with how they turned out.

If you were in a band, what kind of music would you play?

An all-female Prince cover band.

When was the last time you tried something new?

This week I tried a new dessert recipe, it was a chocolate chia mousse. It turned out pretty good. For anyone that would like to try it.

What's the most provocative piece you've ever created?

My "SEND NUDES" series is my most provocative piece and I am so appreciative of all the women who have helped me bring it to life.

If a movie was made about your life, what actor/actress would play you and what would the film be called?

Ilana Glazer because 1) I love Broad City and 2) I wish I could be as funny as she is. The movie would have to be called Smoothie.

What are the top 2 compliments you hear from people about yourself?

My good energy and the look of my short hair.

What inspires you?

My friends, food, music, and random day to day things when I'm walking around Toronto.

What is your most valuable skill?

Mastering my thoughts, whether personal or for work. I am able to focus on what's important in that present moment rather than what happened yesterday or the week before. I direct all my thinking to better serve my well-being and my goals.

What's the best piece you've ever created?

Gotta shoutout my "SEND NUDES" series again. I really wasn't expecting so many women to reach out and want to be a part of it. It's been a really cool bonding experience to have girlfriends and complete strangers send me something so personal and private to transform into art. Us women are art after all, anyways.

Any advice for new artists?

It's important to remember that all of us go through those moments of self-doubt and fear when putting out new work but each time you push past those moments, your confidence and motivation as an artist will continue to grow.

What is a movie moment that completely transformed you?

Tim Curry in Rocky Horror Picture Show, 'Sweet Transvestite' scene. This scene/song is really just my favourite. If you've seen it the "I see you shiver with antici....pation" line is the most epic thing. But anyways, it became one of my favourite films at a young age. While I didn't understand all of the themes early on, I grew up with this film and I owe a lot of my open mind on ideas of sexuality to this film. Shoutout to my dad for putting this cult classic in my life.

What do you consider to be the highlight of your life?

My supportive loving family and incredible group of friends. I am so grateful.

What makes you smile?

When I see good things happen to my favourite people.

Lastly, what are you currently working on?

I am currently working on two pieces for ILY magazine.
