After an incredible selection of images snapped from photographers all over the world were whittled down from 82,951 to 5,775, it all came down to one winning photo when the 2016 World Press Photo competition named its top image. Australian photographer, Warren Richardson's photograph titled 'Hope for a New Life,' shows a man passing a baby through a barb wire fence at the Hungarian-Serbian border and it was fittingly named Photo of the Year.
