The Pink Panther Strikes Again

I discovered slapstick through the Pink Panther movies when I was a child and my brothers rented the videos and the moviebox from the video store. We didn’t have a home movie player or more than one TV-channel at the time. It has been pure pleasure to revisit these movies again and again for nostalgic reasons but also to discover all the hilarious incidents in these movies that I didn’t get as a child. Hard to choose between Strikes Again and A Shot in the Dark.

Stalker by Tarkovsky was probably my first proper favourite film, I was totally captured by the unique pictures, the mood, the story- and didn’t even know movies could be made like this. A magnificent and inspiring piece.

The Hunger

Oh this movie! It’s a must-see for fans of Bowie and Sarandon, and Catherine Deneuve. Fantastic mystical atmosphere and a captivating vampire/horror story.

Blade Runner

I didn’t see the original Blade Runner until quite recently, think I heard the soundtrack before I saw the film. What an amazing and different universe they have managed to create in this film, blown away by it all and very disappointed with the new Blade Runner.

The Fearless Vampire Killers

I am not very into vampires, even though it may seem like it with two vampire movies on this 5 Easy Pieces list. But this movie by Polanski is so ridiculous, surreal and funny.
