The Lobster (2015)

Let’s start with a love movie. Utopian, ideal and fake. That’s how this world created by Yorgos Lanthimos is. The despair in finding your soulmate in a happy world where everything is already predetermined. They even have a quiz on their website to find out what’s your animal fate.

La Pianiste (2001)

I couldn’t sleep after watching this yesterday. Haneke, the master of gestural interpretation. A professional piano teacher and her relationship with a student whose intentions go beyond learning how to play like Schubert. Rivalry and ego fights are never a good thing. When does desire start becoming pleasure?

Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring (2003)

The world is cyclical, your life is cyclical. This movie by Kim Ki-duk shows everything involved with the learning and growing in peace with the world. Every small decision results in a change in your road in life. This movie is so visually relaxing, a friend of us can’t stop watching it.

Akira (1988)

If you’re an anime fan you cannot miss Akira. We’re obsessed with the beginning of the movie – full of neon settings, neo-punk aesthetics and tribal bongos music. Actually, you could say it has influenced our own music. It’s the first song we always play in the van the first day of tour.

Wild Wild Country (2018)

This documentary made me question if there’s actually kindness or meanness in somebody’s actions. Not knowing if what people show to others is actually a reflection of reality. Only the own individual knows. Creating a community with the only aim of sharing with each other. Every community is important and the relationships within them can always be positive. Just like in music, we do it because we love doing it.
