Forget Disneyland, Parc Astérix, etc, the one and only vacation destination for both adults and children arrives in 2020. That's right, a Studio Ghibli theme park is on its way, celebrating legendary filmmakers Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata's classics My Neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away (plus many more).

The park will be located in Japan, more precisely, Aichi Prefecture's EXPO Park. The completion date coincides with Miyazaki's return to feature films with Goro the Caterpillar, which is also due out in 2020.

The image which you can see above comes from illustrator TAKUMI's 2015 plans for a Studio Ghibliland modeled after Tokyo DisneySea, but it's not confirmed if the theme park will actually look like this, since one of the major concerns is implementing it without disturbing any of Aichi EXPO Park's fauna and flora.
