It's been nearly a year since Melanie Kohler claimed via Facebook that she was sexually assaulted by director Brett Ratner which in turn triggered a defamation suit against her by the filmmaker.

Now, both sides are finding some common ground amid a mutual desire to "move on." A stipulation for dismissal (which you can read here) has been filed which "disposes of all claims and all parties, with the respective parties to bear their own attorneys' fees and costs."

Meanwhile, attorneys for Ms. Kohler told Deadline, "...we are pleased that Mr. Ratner agreed to dismiss this case. Cases like this are very difficult, especially when the events happened more than a decade ago and memories are cloudy and unclear. The public conversation about this case has become very painful for Melanie. This result will allow Melanie to move on with her life and spend more time with her family."
