Fox has already replaced Bryan Singer with Dexter Fletcher as director on the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, starring Rami Malek as the lead singer.

Singer was fired for "a pattern of unreliability" that started with him going MIA for 3 days after the Thanksgiving break from shooting. For his part, he claims a unspecified health issue kept him away. You can read his full statement here.

With about two weeks left in the film’s shooting schedule – if Fletcher does not opt to reshoot anything – Fox is still aiming for a December 2018 release date.
