Mad Max: Fury Road is certainly up for a handful of Oscar nominations, yet director George Miller wants nothing more to do with the franchise. "I won’t make more Mad Max movies," he recently told Page Six. "I've shot in Australia in a field of wild flowers and flat red earth when it rained heavily forever. We had to wait 18 months and every return to the US was 27 hours. Those Mad Maxes take forever. I won’t do those anymore."

Following the film's success, the 70-year-old filmmaker had fervently stated that he has follow-up stories and took meetings regarding the franchise's future. But he's taken it all back in his latest interview.
