Back in 1996, Rolling Stone journalist David Lipsky met and travelled with the critically acclaimed author David Foster Wallace at the end of his book tour for Infinite Jest. Unsurprisingly, the film adaptation of these few days focuses mostly on the dialogue between the two characters portrayed by Jason Segel and Jesse Eisenberg. As the reporter tries to get close to the man behind the book so that he can find out information his forthcoming article, their comradely grows throughout their time together.

If you're thinking of seeing the movie, bear in mind that whilst it's an enjoyable watch, both portrayals of the characters turn the actual people into caricature depictions of celebrity writers. However it is pretty great as a piece of standalone entertainment; it's funny, it's sad and it's definitely worth watching if you're a fan of Infinite Jest.
