With its release date only a couple of months away, two composers have joined Jóhann Jóhannsson to craft the perfect score for Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049. One is Benjamin Wallfisch (who previously worked on Hidden Figures), and the other is the one and only Hans Zimmer, whose impressive résumé includes the likes of Inception, The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Lion King.

Director Villeneuve recently explained that this addition doesn't mean Jóhannsson is leaving the project: "It's hard to get to Vangelis' angle," he told Studio Ciné Live. "We have Johann's breathtaking atmospheric sounds, but I needed other things, and Hans helped us."

The highly-anticipated Blade Runner sequel arrives in theatres on October 6th; check out the most recent trailer below.
