Hayao Miyazaki and son Gorô Miyazaki are working on 2 new Studio Ghibli films, according to Vincent Maraval, founder of Wild Bunch Distribution Company who tweeted as much (in French).

The English translation here is roughly, "I can report that Miyazaki senior and junior are at work. 2 new Studio Ghibli productions are underway and the drawings are in-cre-di-ble! Really exciting."

Hayao Miyazaki is most well known as the co-founder of the legendary Studio Ghibli and the main creative behind My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, and Princess Mononoke.

Gorô Miyazaki has three directorial credits under his belt: Tales From Earthsea, From Up on Poppy Hill, and Ronja, the Robber's Daughter.

Stay tuned for more on the new projects as we hear it.
