Hollywood movie studios are considering releasing films as soon as two weeks after the theatrical release. The latest word on this comes from Warner Bros. who said they are willing to set an at home rental availability as soon as 17 days after their films hits theatres, however, it would come to the price of $50 according to Variety.

Although the immediate release is great the price seems a bit excessive. To counter that offer Fox is looking to do a 30-45 day span from theatre to home rental with a modest price of $30. At the end of the day, each studio has to come to an individual agreement with theatre chains and seems to hold an uncertain future due to the fear that people will ditch going to the movies altogether.
