Ever since allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced against Kevin Spacey, the hit Netflix show House of Cards – starring Spacey as the ruthlessly Machiavellian, amoral politician Francis Underwood – has been on a enforced hiatus.

Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos confirmed that the show will go on – just without Spacey – in the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference in New York City.

House of Cards final season will focus on Clare Underwood (Robin Wright) and will only be eight episodes long (past seasons had been 13 episodes).

Production on the series will resume in January of next year. Stay with The 405 for more on this as we hear.
