The welcomed warpath of Jennifer Lawrence keeps steadily cruising with the help of her Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle director David O. Russell in the newest trailer for his Oscar-friendly biopic Joy.

Lawrence is teamed up once again with former acting partners Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro (De Niro was featured in Silver Linings Playbook and Cooper starred alongside Lawrence in both aforementioned films) for the biopic about entrepreneur Joy Mangano, the inventor of the Miracle Mop and staple of home shopping networks. The story goes beyond Mangano's work, rather, portraying her rise from ambiguous housewife to juggling a lucrative business while her family and marriage fall apart.

Speaking boastfully about Mangano's story, O. Russell notes that it's "a fable that lives somewhere between Citizen Kane, The Godfather and It's a Wonderful Life. I would say it lives in the middle of that territory of the loss of your soul."

Watch the trailer below. Joy arrives Christmas day in the U.S. and Jan. 1 in the UK.
